Dr Keefe emigrated to NZ in 2007. He was formerly Lead Consultant in Southampton, a leading UK teaching hospital, and was Senior Lecturer and head of dermatology education at the University of Southampton. Under his leadership the department won the prestigious UK Hospital Doctor Award as Dermatology Team of the Year in 2005. He also ran a large and successful private practice. Dr Keefe is now Clinical Director of Dermatology in Christchurch and dermatology education lead. He has established a private practice with colleagues in Nelson. Dr Keefe has authored more than 50 publications in medical journals and has given numerous lectures to health professionals and the public.
